Born Nov. 24, 1921 in Adams Country to Earl and Anna Satterfield., Dottie graduated from West Union High School, Salutatorian of the Class of 1939 and Christ Hospital (Cincinnati) School of Nursing, summa cum laude, 1942, and did graduate work at University of Cincinnati and Miami Valley Hospital. Growing up she was active in the Methodist Church, and she helped start the first Girl Scout Troop in Adams County. She played basketball at West Union HS, and enjoyed playing golf. A talented seamstress, Dottie was a dedicated Nurse into her 70's. Dottie married her high school sweetheart, Chester A. "Red" Roush in April of 1943 during World War II in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at Christ Hospital, Miami Valley Hospital, and South Dayton Radiation. She and Chet visited all 50 States and traveled to six of the seven continents, often serving in the People to People Travels and hosting many world- wide visitors back into their home here in Kettering. They attended five different Olympics Games, but Dottie always made time to go back "home" to Adams County where she was a cousin to many and aunt of 23 loved nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by her husband, Chet, daughter Sally Roush Brown, parents and siblings, she is survived by children Jean Roush (John) Wolfe and John Allen (Susie Miller) Roush and Jim Brown, also her treasured Grandchildren: Rebecca (Brad) Probasco, Elizabeth (Peter) Wolfe-Eberly, Luke (Brooke Olsen) Roush and Mark (Natalie Crable) Roush. Her lovable "Littles," the great grandchildren: Sam, Payton, Molly, Jack, Cate, Annie, Tristan, Ben, Miller Ann, and Bo Allen.
