CULP, Dorothy, age 96, of Dayton passed away on Friday, November 4, 2011.
She was a graduate of South High School in Youngstown, Ohio and received her Bachelors Degree from Wittenburg University in Springfield, Ohio. Dorothy was an English teacher at Fairview High School in Dayton and also served as their club advisor.
She attended Westminster Presbyterian Church and was a member of PEO Chapter BC. Dorothy was also awarded one of the “Top Ten Women of Dayton”. She will always be known by her loved ones as a lively, intelligent lady who was full of love.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Merritt Culp. Dorothy is survived by her children, Jack (Marty) Culp and Jan (Bill) Abbott; grandchildren, Pam (Gary) Herbert, John (Peg) Culp, Nelson (Alissa) Culp, and Samantha (Gabe) Kane; and great-grandchildren, Bobbi, Ryan, Leanne, Chloe, Maddi, and Zoe. A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on November 7, 2011 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 125 N. Wilkinson St., Dayton, Ohio 45402. Immediately following the memorial service, family will greet friends also at the church. Burial in Dayton Memorial Park at a later date.
