Dorothy Helen Kennedy

age 87, of Dayton, passed away Friday, August 10, 2001. She had worked for Leland Electric for 25 years. Dorothy was a member of Memorial United Church of Christ; Dayton-Victory Chapter O.E.S.; Azizah Temple, Daughters of the Nile; Dayton White Shrine and Bara Court, Ladies Oriental Shrine. Preceded in death in 1975 by her husband, Neal Kennedy. Survived by her son, Jack and his wife, Barbara Kennedy of Plainfield IN; daughter, Shirley Larsen of Kettering; brother, Harry Gilmore and his wife, Shirley of FL; sister, Margaret Hendricks of Englewood; 2 grandchildren, Michael Kennedy and Bryan Kennedy and his wife, Jean; and 3 great grandchildren, Neil, Maureen and Phillip Kennedy. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, in Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, with Rev. Edward Puff and Pastor Ed Smith officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Monday, in the funeral home. Eastern Star services will be held at 7:30 p.m. and Daughters of the Nile services will be held at 7:45 p.m., Monday. Entombment Woodland Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children - Burns, 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati OH 45229-3095.
