Dorothy I Bell

BELL, Dorothy Beck, at 100 years of age, Dorothy Bell passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016, in Arlington, VA. Dorothy had moved from Dayton to Arlington in 2005 to be near her daughter. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Bell, her son, David Bell, her brother, Bruce Beck, and her sister Edna Ledbetter. Dorothy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Alice and Gary Brown, her daughter-in-law, Ann Bell of Oakwood, OH, 3 grandsons, and 3 great grandchildren. A long-time resident of Kettering, OH, Dorothy was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Dorothy was a great dessert maker, especially known for her fabulous apple pies and other baked goods. She also enjoyed dressmaking, needlework, crafting, and charitable sewing with other church members. She greatly loved her church and family. Services will be held at Rousting Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel, on Friday, September 23, at 2 PM. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton, OH. Contributions in her name may be made to Culpepper Garden III, Assisted Living, 4439 N. Pershing Drive, Arlington VA 22203.
