Dorothy Sophia Fischer

FISCHER, Dorothy Sophia, "Dottie", age 96 of Beavercreek, OH, passed away quietly while sleeping on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in Springfield, OH. Dottie graduated from Western Hills High School in Chevoit, OH. She retired from Wright Patt Air Force Base where she worked as a civilian employee and was a member of Greenmont Oak Park Community Church. Dottie was a devoted wife and a loving and praise-giving mother who worked full time all her life while raising her two sons. She took pride in knowing that she taught her sons the value of a good work ethic and how to take care of themselves and their families. Preceded in death by her husband, William M. Fischer and her older son, William M. Fischer, Jr. Dottie is survived by her son, Wayne G. Fischer of Kingwood, TX; grandchildren, Erica Firkin, Angela Kramer and Derek Fischer; and two great-grandchildren, Cora and Tage Firkin. Family will greet friends prior to the service on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 from 10:00 to 11:00AM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E Stroop Rd, Kettering, OH. Funeral service will begin at 11:00AM with burial to follow in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Gifts in her memory may be made to charity of choice.
