Dr. Barry L. Gilbert

GILBERT, Dr. Barry L., age 72, of Dayton, passed away Monday, June 20, 2011. Barry was a graduate of Oakwood High School '56, Dennison University '59, and Ohio State University College of Dentistry '63. He joined his father, Dr. Robert Gilbert, in dental practice in 1963, and continued to practice in Dayton for 25 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church as well as the Dayton Dental Society, and Dayton Country Club. Throughout all his adversity, he remained an optimist. He loved his life, profession, community, family and truly loved golfing and skiing with his two sons. Preceded in death by his parents Ruth and Robert Gilbert, Barry is survived by his sons, Eric (Liza) and Steve (Kim) Gilbert, grandchildren; Griffin, Johnny, Andy, Henry, Madeline, Carder, Phoebe; and his brother, Bob Gilbert. A Memorial service will be at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 33 West Dixon Ave., Oakwood. Family will greet friends following the service at Dayton Country Club, 555 Kramer Rd., Dayton. Inurnment at St. Paul's Episcopal Church�s Columbarium.
