Dr. Bill C. Schweller

SCHWELLER D.D.S., William C. age 77 of Centerville passed away on Friday, June 9, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton. Bill was an active member of the Church of the Ascension. He was a graduate of Chaminade High School, attended the University of Dayton and was a graduate of St. Louis University School of Dentistry. Bill served in the United States Air Force as Captain in the Air Defense Command at Geiger Air Force Base, Spokane, WA. and was Chief of the Dental Clinic. He practiced dentistry locally for 38 years on Huffman Ave. Bill served as president of Ohio Dentistry for Children, was active as a member of the Board of Directors of The Dayton Dental Society, and was president from 1975-1976. He was presented with The Dayton Dental Society Service Award in March 2006. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Norma (Gnau) Schweller; children, Connie (Gary) Kuhn of Arizona, Mike Schweller of Bellbrook and his sons Ryan and Eric, Kathy (Chris) Kempton of Bellbrook and their children Kyle and Kaitlin, Jerry (Linda) Schweller of Columbus and their children Matt and Megan, Dan (Peggy) Schweller of Chicago and their children Thomas, Kearsley and Charlie, Carol Donovan of Kettering and her children, Taylor and Marc and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Ascension, 2025 Woodman Dr., Kettering with Father Ron Combs officiating. Family and friends may gather for prayers on Tuesday at 9:45 AM at Routsong Funeral Home. Burial at Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5-8:00 PM on Monday, June 12, 2006 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420 or to the National Parkinson Foundation Inc, 1501 NW 9 Ave., Bob Hope Rd., Miami, FL 33136-1494.
