age 76 of Centerville, died Thursday, September 13, 2001. He was a WWII Navy veteran as a signalman 3rd class then commissioned as an Ensign. Gene was a member of the Church of the Incarnation and a graduate of the University of Dayton and the St. Louis University Dental School. He practiced dentistry for 45 years in the Dayton area and was a partner in the Rahn Dental Group Development. Gene also worked as Dentist Relations Consultant for Superior Dental Care, served as president of the Dayton Dental Society and on numerous committees. Preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Marceda Huffman. Survived by his wife, Charlotte; a daughter and son-in-law, Claudia and Michael French; a son, Eugene J. Huffman, Jr.; a step-daughter, Sheree Brunner; 2 grandchildren, Jessica and Kelly Brunner; a sister and brother-in-law, Donna Mae and Eugene Rentschler; and 3 nephews, Larry, Michael and James Rentschler and families. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday in the Church of the Incarnation, 55 Williamsburg Lane, Centerville. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 4-6:00 P.M., Sunday in the Routsong Funeral, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering.
