Edgar Bruce Truitt

TRUITT, Edgar "Bruce", age 70, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 at his home. Bruce served his country in the United States Navy and attended the Annapolis Naval Academy. He began his career with Sandia Corp., AEC in New Mexico and later worked in medical sales. Bruce also owned his own grocery store in Lima, OH. He enjoyed woodworking, golf, football, and coaching little league. Bruce was a member of Ascension Catholic Church and was very active in the Lima area Elks Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Preceded in death by his son, Edgar Todd Truitt; parents, Edgar and Haldeen Truitt; and two grandchildren, Emily and Ashley. Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Pamela; children, Lisa Marie (Paul) Hohlbein and Michele Lynn (Timothy) Staley; 6 grandchildren, Eric, Christopher, Alex, Allie, Jacob, and Bailey; sister, Karen Mills Booth; and two nieces. Family will greet friends from 4:00-6:00pm on Friday, July 6, 2012 at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Ascension Catholic Church, 2025 Woodman Drive, Kettering. Burial in Bellbrook Cemetery with military honors.
