Edgar Morris Giles

GILES, Edgar Morris, age 86, of Kettering went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 11, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born February 2, 1920 in Duffield, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Pearl Giles; sister, Mattie Davis; and brothers, Everett and Maynard Giles. He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Ella; sisters, Juanita Bowen, Maysie Roberts and Ruth Dishner; brothers, Rev. Otto and John Giles; sons, Carroll (Janice) and Charles (Pam) Giles;grandchildren, Gary (Julie), Jeff (Holly), Sarah Giles and Rachael (Gregory) Adkins; great grandchildren, John, Adam, Katie, Gabe, and Gracen Giles and Bradley and Luke Adkins; and many other relatives in OH, VA and TN. Edgar retired from General Motors in 1977 with over 30 years of service. He was a longtime dedicated member and Deacon of Fairview Primitive Baptist Church in Bellbrook. Edgar was a loving husband, father and grandpa. The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Gaylor and his staff for their loving care and treatment during his courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 15, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Fairview Primitive Baptist Church on Ferry Rd., in Bellbrook, OH with the Rev. Otto Giles officiating. Burial in Fairview Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM Sunday at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Fairview Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2353 Ferry Rd., Bellbrook, OH 45305.
