MCGUIRE, Edith B., (nee Burton ) was born to eternal life on her 84th birthday, October 20, 2006. A native of Cleveland, she was a Hathaway Brown graduate and member of the Junior League. She also attended Pine Manor College. Moving to Dayton in 1950s, Edith and her late beloved husband, James F. Sr., were one of the founding members of St. George’s Episcopal Church. Edith served with the Stephen Ministries, and was a member of the Daughters of the King . Edith is the dear mother of sons, Randy (Doti), Jay (Linda), and daughter, Allyson; 9 grandchildren, Jimmy, Jason, Rachelle, Ryan, Aaron, Courtney, Andrew, Jay, James; 6 great-grandchildren Clarissa, Jordan, Samantha, Cole, Alyssa, and Logan; dear sister-in-law of Margaret McGuire of Hudson, Oh. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 24, 1100 AM at St. George’s Episcopal Church, 5250 Far Hills Ave. Kettering with the Rev. Carol Hall officiating. Family will receive friends following the service at the church.
