Editha T. Berg

BERG, Editha, age 91, of Kettering, passed away in her home on Wednesday, September 2, 2015. She was born on April 29, 1924 in Karlsdorf, Serbia (then Yugoslavia), to the late Kurt and Hermine (Wagner) Hallasch. She survived the trauma of WWII and fled her homeland, eventually emigrating to the US. Her life centered around her family to whom she was devoted. She loved gardening, German cooking, keeping her house spotless, and feeding animals from her yard. Editha is preceded in death by her husband, Martin Berg and her beloved son, Roland. She is survived by her son, Berthold (Dalma) Berg; granddaughter, Leah (Andrew) Brough; and 2 great-granddaughters, Hannah and Norah Brough whom she adored. A memorial service will be held at 5:00pm on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering, OH. Family will greet friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, 1661 Nicholas Rd, Dayton, OH 45417.
