Edna L Lucas

LUCAS, Edna L., age 105, of Centerville, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2004. She was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church on Gebhart Church Road in Miamisburg. Edna had lived in the Centerville area for all of her life. She was one of six students to graduate from Centerville High School in 1917. She became a teacher and taught in the area for a few years. Preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert in May 1981; son, Chester in December, 2004, along with her brother, Clarence. Survived by her 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Frances and Henry Griffith of Kettering, Erma and Bob Gebhart of Centerville; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Phyllis Lucas of Washington Twp.; daughter-in-law, Becky Lucas; 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 6 great- great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville with Pastor Shawn O’Brien officiating. Burial in Centerville Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 470 S. Gebhart Church Rd.
