Edward A. Parker

PARKER, Edward A., age 81, of Sarasota FL, passed away January 27, 2007. Born in Dayton, he resided in Sarasota for the last 19 years. Edward was the retired President of Edward Investment Co., and owned and operated the North Star Drive-In Theatre in Dayton for 30 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was Catholic and was a former member of the Miami Valley Country Club, Sarasota Yacht Club and the Milton Club. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew & Esther Parker and a daughter, Marilyn. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lillian; two daughters, Jayne (Bob) Shacket and Donna Parker; and two sons, John (Janet) Parker, and Robert (Maura) Parker; 8 grandchildren: Chuck, Mark , Kristen, Kyle, Adam and Sean Parker, Randy and Angela Shacket plus 8 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave., Centerville. The family will receive friends Friday, February 2, 2007 from 5-7:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville OH. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
