Edward J Mchugh

McHUGH, Edward J., age 81 of Washington Township, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2011. Edward was born in the Bronx, New York on January 15th 1930 to John and Mary (Daly) McHugh of County Roscommon, Ireland. He graduated from New York University with a degree in business. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army and is a veteran of the Korean War. After many years employed with the Burroughs Corporation, Edward served as Vice President of the Systemedia division of the NCR Corporation from which he retired in 1991. While employed at NCR, he was a member of the board of the Dayton Opera Guild and also served as Chairman of the Dayton Area Chapter of the Red Cross from 1988 t0 1990. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Ellen (nee Morris) in 1998; sisters, Mary Buscher and Kay Erenzo; sisters-in-law Anne and Kathleen Morris; sister-in-law Dorothy McHugh and brothers-in-law David Hall, Charles Buscher and Lawrence Zilliox. Edward is survived by sons, Edward (Rosemary) McHugh of Chicago, IL, Brian (Betsy) McHugh of Caro, MI and Patrick (Gretchen Pfaff) McHugh of Yellow Springs, OH; daughters, Kathleen (John) Musial of Chicago, IL, Mary (Antonio) Bello of Mexico City, Mexico, Margaret (John) Graham of Indianapolis, IN and Ellie (JD) Otto of Oakwood, OH; grandchildren, Brooke Gammel, Ashley Hunter, Joseph and Elizabeth Stewart, Madalyn and Mackenzie McHugh, John (Laura), Kimberly, and Kelly Musial, Zachary McHugh, Ellen, Daniel, and Thomas Bello, Caitlin, Laura, John Mack, and Maren Graham and Stephen, Doug, and Mark Otto; great-grandchildren, Lillian and Emma Stewart; brothers, John, Tom (Joan), and James (Marilyn) McHugh; sisters, Joan (Pat) Papa, Dorothy Hall, Fran Zilliox, and Eileen Somerville; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00PM on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville, OH 45459. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, March 7 at Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave., Centerville, OH 45459.
