Edyth Louise Stansfield

age 72 of Oakwood, died Monday, October 8, 2001. She was a member of Emmanuel Catholic Church and attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Edyth was a graduate of Julienne High School, the College of Mt. St. Joseph in Cincinnati, and Good Samaritan School of Nursing. She worked as an RN at Good Samaritan Hospital ER, Kettering Medical Center, the Dayton School of Practical Nursing, taught the Medical Arts Program at Patterson Co-op High School and was currently working at Miami Valley Hospital same-day surgery. Edyth was a member of the NCR Country Club, Dayton Art Institute, Opera Guild, Four Seasons Yacht Club in Cincinnati and various nursing organizations. Preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Kathryn McClellan; and a brother, Harrison H. McClellan, II. Survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Thomas R.; 2 sons, Scott (Kathy) of Charleston, WV and Craig (Brenda) of Oakwood; 2 daughters, Sue (Gerry) Fowler of Grosse Pointe, MI and Sarah (Chuck) Simmons of McKinney, TX; 7 grandchildren, Katie, Will, Chuck III, Allie, Jordan, Christopher, and Kathryn. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday in Emmanuel Catholic Church, 149 Franklin, St., Dayton. Entombment in Woodland Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 4-8:00 P.M., Thursday in the Routsong Funeral Home, 6 Oakwood Ave. at Irving. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
