MULRONEY, Eldron “Smitty”, age 82, of Dayton, OH passed away Saturday, December 9, 2006 at the Dayton VA Hospital. He was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Temple. Smitty served 4 years in the United States Army during WWII and earned 2 Bronze Stars and the Freedom Medal of the Phillipines. He worked for General Motors for 39 years and received many awards for tool design. Smitty was preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt and Elizabeth Mulroney and his 2 brothers, Thomas Mulroney, who died while serving in the Marines during WWII and Wilson Mulroney. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia of 59 years; daughter, Kathy (William) Taulbee; grandson, Curtis Taulbee; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Smitty and Virginia loved to travel. A funeral service will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Pastor Jerry Siler officiating. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hill Grove Cemetery in Miamisburg. In memory of Smitty, contributions may be made to The Cornerstone Baptist Temple, 1707 Ohmer Ave., Dayton, OH 45410 or to the VA Hospice, 4100 W. Third St., Dayton, OH 45417.
