BAIRD, Eleanor L., age 92, passed away Monday, November 22, 2004 at Brighton Gardens of Washington Township. Eleanor was a member of Dorothy Lane American Baptist Church. She worked at WPAFB as a Film Editor/Producer where she produced training films and classified films for the United States Government. Eleanor received a commendation for Meritorious Civilian Service Award for outstanding performance as Film Editor of the 1350th Photographic Service Squadron, WPAFB, OH, May 1954. She received the CHRIS Award from the Film Council of Greater Columbus and the Columbus Chamber of Commerce for the Excellence of Production for “Correction of Nasal Deformity and Developmental Prognathism” October 1967. Eleanor also received an award from the National Committee on Films for safety presented to the United States Air Force for the motion picture “Survival by Parachute” 1972. She was also awarded a Bronze Finalist Award for stock footage research “Survival by Parachute” from the Information Film Producers of America, Inc., November 1973. Eleanor retired in 1973 after 27 years of Civilian service for the Air Force at WPAFB, OH, and Norton AFB, CA. After retirement she enjoyed traveling and also became very active in gardening and needlepoint. Preceded in death by her husband, David (Dee) William Baird, her brother, M. Victor Larsen, and sister, Beulah Munro. Survived by daughter, Crystal Sease of Kettering; step daughter, Cleo Morrison of Monroe, WA; granddaughters, Victoria and husband Greg Adams of Xenia and Tracy and husband, Brian Behrens of Cumming, GA; 4 great grandchildren, Brittney, Ashton, Mica Adams and Alex Behrens; 2 nieces, Betty Keary and Joyce Garcia both of CA; and one nephew, Lester Kaltoft of AZ. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 26, 2004 at 10:00 AM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering, with Rev. Ken Damon officiating. Burial will be in David’s Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to Dorothy Lane American Baptist Church, 960 W.
