Elisabeth Johanna Magdalena Petrusch

PETRUSCH, Elisabeth Johanna Magdalena (ne Schatz) born on September 7, 1930 to Julius Harry Schatz and Emmy Jehl, lost her battle with cancer on January 10, 2012. A native of Kriescht, Germany, Mrs. Petrusch worked for the United States Army in Heidelberg before immigrating to the U.S. Immediately after her arrival in New York via ship on January 24, 1957, Mrs. Petrusch secured a secretarial position at Winters Bank in Dayton. She retired from the Trust Department of Bank One as an Assistant Vice President in 1994, and continued to work for Dynamic Pension Services, Inc. until 1996. An avid reader and historian, Mrs. Petrusch also took pleasure in elaborate flower gardens, classical music, opera, travel, and sharing her passions with her granddaughters. Until her death, she was active with a women's German social club. Preceded in death by her parents Julius Schatz and Emmy Jehl and brother, Hans Karl Schatz, she is survived by husband of 50 years, Peter H. F. Petrusch, son Michael of San Antonio, TX, and his wife Suzanne; daughter Karen Stierle of Dayton and her husband Thomas; and two grandchildren, Eliza and Katherine Stierle. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 2:00pm at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E Stroop Rd, Kettering. The family will greet friends following the service until 5:00pm.
