Elizabeth "Betty" Breidenbach

BREIDENBACH, Elizabeth A. "Betty", age 79, of Kettering, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014. Betty was born on March 3, 1935 in Kenosha, WI. She was described as a feisty, energetic spitfire who enjoyed life to its fullest. Betty enjoyed skiing and sailing, and won several awards being the captain of her sailboat in the Racy Regatta. She was very passionate about her family, friends, and students. For those of you who knew Betty, she was a great mother, grandmother and to her family and friends was a joy to be around. She received her Bachelor's degree from Miami University (majored in English, minored in Biology) and received her Master's Degree in Counseling from the University of Dayton. Betty worked as a teacher at Miamisburg H.S. for 28 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth C. and Frances (nee Oswalt) Burch; husband, William Edward Breidenbach. Betty is survived by her children, Karl B. Breidenbach of Oakwood and Julie (Daniel) Dutton of Kettering; grandchildren, Karlee, Jakob, Luke; brother, Bob (Karen) Burch; sister, Nina Neubauer and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Kettering Hospital and Hospice of Dayton for all the wonderful care they gave to Betty. Family will greet friends from 12:00pm-2:00pm on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering, OH with a funeral service to follow at 2pm.
