CAPEL, Elizabeth Procter Isenburg, age 84, born on October 10, 1939 passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023. She passed peacefully while her family was with her.
Elizabeth is survived by her three children Blair (Andrea) Isenburg, Brenda (Larry) Foley, and Blythe Isenburg. She had four grandchildren Todd (Ashlee) Foley, Alisha (Charles) Creech, Lauren Isenburg, and Lindsay Isenburg. Elizabeth had three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Evelyn (Bob) Meredith.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Jerry Isenburg, as well as her second husband, William Capel.
Elizabeth was the youngest of two sisters born to James and Mary Procter. She grew up in Indianapolis and started college at Purdue University finishing her undergraduate degree at Central Michigan University. Elizabeth started teaching in Cincinnati working with children who needed specialized education. She earned her Masters of Education from the University of Cincinnati. Elizabeth taught 1st and 2nd grade at Mount Washington Elementary school for almost 20 years. She retired and was a snowbird between Cincinnati and Florida, and then Florida and Oakville, Ontario. Elizabeth was an avid church attender throughout the years and was an elder at several churches where she was a member. She loved boats, her dog, walks, and travel. Elizabeth went to the Amazon, Panama Canal, Paris, Great Britain, Hawaii, Alaska, as well as many other states. She enjoyed getting together with her extended family and cousins for annual reunions.
Family will greet friends Thursday, November 9 from 11:00am-12:30pm at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, with Memorial Services beginning at 12:30pm.
