Elizabeth Irene Cole

COLE, Elizabeth "Liz" Irene, age 89, of Centerville, passed away on November 21, 2024. Liz was born in Dayton, OH to the late Leonard and Katherine (nee Pesick) Bissell on April 3, 1935. She graduated from Fairview High School in 1953, where she was a cheerleader who fell in love with the football team's quarterback, Doug Cole. Liz attended The Ohio State University with her high school sweetheart. Liz and Doug were married 67 years and raised five children. Liz enjoyed traveling and time with family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Doug, and daughter, Linda M. Cole. Liz is survived by her children, Steve D. (Janice) Cole of Centerville, Sue Cole Rochlin of Atlanta, Sharon (Bruce) Salter of Atlanta, James A. "Andy" (Cheryl) Cole of Centerville; 8 grandchildren, Christopher (Molly), Scott, Christen (Jarred), Matthew (Christine), Katie (Teddy), Monica (Mark), Sean and Shane; 10 great-grandchildren, Oscar, Collin, Sutton, Shep, Foster, Albie, Elsie, Rori, Annette and Cole. There will be private, family only services in December.
