Elizabeth Irene Ahern

AHERN, Elizabeth Irene, age 87 of Kettering, passed away on Feb 3rd 2011 at her home after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Elizabeth was a member of the Democratic Women's Club and Heart Walk Ambassador in 1998. She was a fanatic fan of both the Cincinnati Reds and The Ohio State University Buckeyes and The Marching Band. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, William E. Ahern in 2000. Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Timothy and Tracy Ahern and wife Terry of Kettering; daughter, Valeria Alvey of Kettering, grandchildren Stacy Ahern of Dayton, Jess Ahern of Columbus, Brittany and Ryan Alvey of Springboro, Eric Alvey (China), Jason Alvey (Wyoming). Family will greet friends from 4:00 to 7:00 on Tuesday Feb. 8th at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am on Wednesday Feb. 9th at Church of the Ascension, 2025 Woodman Dr., Kettering.
