Elizabeth M. Hoy

,age 81 of Dayton, died March 31, 2002, Easter Sunday. She was a charter member of the Centerville Historical Society and co-founder of the Historic Preservation District. Elizabeth belonged to the Garden Club and the Dayton Bach Society. She served as an Elder with the Southminster Presbyterian Church, and was also a member of the Ohio Women's Republican Party. The '' Elizabeth Hoy Park'' was dedicated in 1973 by the city of Centerville to honor her for her many contributions. Her church memberships included, Vineyard at Tuttle Crossing in Dublin, OH and Camden Community Church in Camden, Michigan. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hoy on February 11, 1998 who was a former mayor of Centerville from 1964-1974, her son, Roger in 1972, one brother, Harold and one sister,Helen. She is survived by her sons, Paul Hoy Jr. and his wife Amy of Dublin, OH and Ted Hoy and his wife Anne Frayne of Dayton, OH; daughters, Linda Jenkins and her husband Harry of Longwood, FL, Sharon Kepke of Columbus, OH, Susan Nannarone and her husband Fred of Dayton, OH; 5 loving sisters, Easter, Mary Lee, Naomi, Martha Mae, and Colleen; 3 caring brothers, Edward, William and James; 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6, 2002 at 10:00 AM at Southminster Presbyterian Church. Burial in Centerville Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5-8:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville.
