Elizabeth Stickel

STICKEL, Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Pickrel) age 92, died on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at Bethany LutheranVillage. Betty was born on February 6, 1914 in Dayton, OH, the sixth child of Stella and David Pickrel. She was a graduate of Steele High School Class of 1932. Betty was an administrative assistant at Rike’s Department Store and was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church and the Dayton Women’s Club. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Albert “Bud” E. Stickel and eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Sue (Tom) Coady of Columbus, OH; Tom (Pegge) Stickel of Winter Park, FL and Dan (Susan) Stickel of Dayton, OH; 6 grandchildren, Steve (Jill) Dorn; Tara (Bernard) Binder; Patrice Coady; Doug (Shannon) Stickel; Molly Stickel and Catherine Stickel; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Dorothy Gravett and Anne Beatty; and many nieces and nephews. Betty will be sadly missed by her family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 13, 2006 at 12:00 noon at the Routsong Funeral Home, 6 Oakwood Ave. at Irving Ave. with Rev. John Parent officiating. Entombment in David’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
