Ellen L. Cole

COLE, Ellen L. (nee Spahr) age 82, of Centerville passed away Monday, January 6, 2003 at Hospice of Dayton. Ellen was a member of the Cornerstone Assembly of God and taught bible school at a number of nursing homes. She was a nurse in the Navy during WWII. After the war, she was a public health nurse and head nurse at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, and a surgical nurse at the University of Cincinnati Hospital. Ellen retired in 1975 from Montgomery County Public Health Nursing and most recently she was a real estate agent for several real estate companies in the area. She graduated from Western Reserve University with a degree in nursing. Ellen also attended the University of Dayton, the University of Cincinnati and Miami Valley School of Nursing. Preceded in death by her husband, Harold Cole, Sr. in 1983; daughter Roberta Anne Allen in 1999; grandson, Nicholas Stuart Cole in 1999; great grandchildren, Calee and Caleb Allen ; parents, Raymond and Myrtle Spahr and all of her siblings. Survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Harold Jr. (Patsy) Cole, Phillip (fiance', Beth Rice) Cole and Steve (Barb) Cole; daughter and son-in-law, Patti (Harold) Webb; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and many special family members and friends. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, January 11, 2003 at 10:00 AM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville, with Rev. James Hart officiating. Burial in Centerville Cemetery. Family will greet friends, Friday from 4-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
