age 83, of Oakwood, died Sunday, March 25, 2001. He served in the Navy during World War II. Elmer was a member and a deacon of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He was Inventory Control Manager for Delco Products for 20 years until he became Sales Manager for Lorenz Publishing, retiring in 1982 after 27 years there, and he also worked for Routsong Funeral Home for 15 years. He umpired amateur baseball for 12 years and was a referee for high school and college basketball for 30 years. He was a member of Kettering-Oakwood Exchange Club, Troy Elk's Club, Mystic Lodge #45. AASR, Antioch Shrine and a member of the original Motor Patrol. He also was a volunteer usher at Memorial Hall for both the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and the Dayton Opera for 16 years. Preceded in death by his parents, John Pugh and Eva (Nye) Pugh, and sister, Florence Chase. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary; daughter, Ruth Ann Koogler of Kettering; son, Larry, and his wife, Gloria Pugh of Oakwood; and 3 grandchildren, Angela Koogler, Lisa Pugh and Christopher (Molly) Pugh. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday in Westminster Presbyterian Church, 125 N. Wilkinson St., Dayton with The Rev. Kay A. Davis-Dudding officiating. The family will greet friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, with Mystic Lodge and Scottish Rite ceremonies at 7:00 p.m. in Routsong Funeral Home, 6 Oakwood Ave. at Irving, Dayton. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 3229 Burnett Ave., Cincinnati OH 45229-3095.
