Eloise Murtaugh

MURTAUGH, Eloise (nee Sims), 85, of Centerville, Ohio, passed away at Hospice of Dayton on June 7, 2008. Eloise graduated from Centerville High School in Gallia County, Ohio, as valedictorian of the Class of 1941. In 1967, after the passing of her husband Robert E. Murtaugh, she joined Hunter Savings and Loan form which she eventually retired as an assistant vice president. After retirement she was active at Hithergreen Senior Center and volunteered at Southview Hospital for many years. Eloise was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Sims. She is survived by her son, Michael Murtaugh, her daughter-in-law Karen and their children Devin, Drew and Elizabeth; sisters Wilma Jean Postle and Janet Jones and numerous nieces and nephews. Eloise's family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5-7:30 PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM at the Centerpoint Cemetery in Jackson County, Ohio.
