Emereda S. Stein

STEIN, Emereda, S., (nee Schlater) age 81, of Dayton passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at Hospice of Dayton. Emereda was a longtime member of The Church of the Ascension. She was an administrative assistant for Jack Ackerman at State Farm Insurance Agency in Kettering. Emereda was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna ( Duwel) Schlater, brothers, Clarence, Cletus and Gregor, brothers-in-law, Edward Schulte and Roy Pleiman, sisters-in-law, Lucille Schlater, Georgia Schlater and Gail Schlater. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Robert Stein; children, Janet (William) Matthews and Connie (Howard) Neff; grandchildren, Robert “Bob” (Tara) Matthews and their children, Taylor and Kate, Todd (Candice) Matthews, Kevin “Kip” (fiancé Nicki Logan) Matthews, Trent Matthews, Kyle Neff; step-grandchildren, Andrew, Jeremy, Meghan and Sean Neff; brother, Julius Schlater; and sisters, Eleanor Schulte and Lorena Pleiman and special friends Mary Lawrence and Marilyn Mauro. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, November 18, 2005 at 11:00 AM at The Church of the Ascension, 2025 Woodman Dr., Kettering. Emereda’s family will receive friends from 10:30-11:00 AM at the church. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
