, age 80, of Bethany Lutheran Village, Centerville, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2002. She was a registered nurse and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from State University of New York. Emma served as a 2nd Lt. in the U.S. Army Nursing Corp. during World War II and acted as an interpreter for German P.O.W.'s. Preceded in death in 1996 by her husband, John P. Blake. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Delbert Bertke of Centerville; son, John Blake III of Rochester, NY; and 2 granddaughters, Erin and Sandra Bertke. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM , Friday, April 19, at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. Inurnment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
