age 96, of Dayton, died Wednesday, November 28, 2001. She was born in Eckenheim, Frankfurt a/m, Germany and came to Dayton in the early 1920s with her father Friedrich Weber. A year later they were joined by her mother Emma and brothers Alfred and Arnold, who pedeceased her. Emmy was the beloved wife of Karl Filsinger who died April 3, 1985. She is survived by son, Alfred (Shirley); grandson, Frederick ''Rick'' (Patti) and children, Amy and Joshua, all of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada; granddaughter, Kimberley (Kevin) Haselhuhn and children, Benjamin and Noah of Wendell, North Carolina; granddaughter, Nancy (Mark) Nuzzi and daughter, Isabella of Kearney, New Jersey; sister-in-law, Anna May Weber of Centerville; niece, Nancy (Gary) Merriman of Lake Placid, Florida; and niece, Linda (Ron) Armstrong and their children of Kettering. Emmy is also survived by a nephew and several nieces in Germany. At the age of 80, Emmy began 10 years of volunteer work at Miami Valley Hospital. She was a long-time member of Epiphany Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 3, 2001, at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 6430 Far Hills Avenue, Centerville at 11:00 A.M., the Rev. Fritz Wiese officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Lutheran School of the Miami Valley, 239 Wayne Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45402.
