Eric L. Watrous

Eric Lowell Watrous, age 65, of Centerville passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. Eric was born in Dayton, Ohio and grew up just outside Union. He graduated from Northmont High School in 1969 and attended Kenyon College. Eric graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. He worked in software product development for over 30 years before retiring in 2013. Eric was passionate about genealogy, including researching and documenting his family's lineage. He also enjoyed attending Centerville soccer and basketball games and cross country and track meets to support his three children. Above all else, Eric loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Melvin Watrous and Esther Louise (Learish) Watrous. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Vandy (McMahan) Watrous; three children, Erin, Jordan, and William Watrous of Columbus; sisters Ellen (Steve) Donisi of Dayton and Julie West of Cascade, CO; and his beloved dog Cricket. A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM prior to the 7:00 PM funeral service on Tuesday, June 14 at the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville, Ohio with Pastor Tony Miltenberger officiating.
