age 85, of Kettering, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2004. He was a member of Bethany Church of Christ. Ernest was involved in moving & storage for many years. Ernest served in the Army during WWII and received the bronze star and purple heart. Preceded in death by his daughter, Loretta Moreland; son, Larry Moreland; grandson, Dana Hesler; parents, Albert and Clara Moreland. Survived by his wife of 68 years, Selma (Holmes) Moreland; daughter, Marjorie Hesler of Kettering; son, David and wife, Judy Moreland of Huber Heights and Richard and wife, Robyn Moreland of Centerville; special granddaughter, Susie Beener of Kettering; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Rev. Bob Harvey officiating. Burial in Woodland Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5-8:00 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home. If desired memorial contributions, may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
