Esther Kathleen Scott

SCOTT, Kathleen (Brust), age 87, of Kettering, passed away November 12 at Heartland of Kettering. Kathleen was a long time resident of the AFL-CIO Towers Apartment. She had a passion for the arts, particularly painting. Kathleen worked as a bookkeeper for PK Home Shopping Center. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Norman Nelson Miller in 2000, and by her 2nd husband, William F. Scott in 1996. Kathleen is survived by her son, Stephen D. Miller of MA; step-daughter, Kendel Scott of FL; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; 6 nieces, Oma Jean Cottrell of Dayton, Joyce Gatwood of Columbus, and Claudia Batteiger of OK, Georgia Harrington of FL, Pam Anglin of Dayton, Debbie Welsh of South Carolina, and Zoe Ball of Cleveland; 3 nephews, David Brust of Dayton, Philip Brust of SC and Robert Brust of FL; and a sister-in-law, Lola Brust of Dayton; and special thanks to Jeff and Char Hinkley and the wonderful staff who watched over Kathleen at Heartland of Kettering. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 16th at 6:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. In memory of Kathleen, contributions may be made to Heartland of Kettering Benevolent Fund, 3313 Wilmington Pike, Kettering, OH 45429.
