Ethel Schierling

SCHIERLING, Ethel Mae, "Mickey" age 85, of Dayton passed away Monday, September 8, 2008 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was an active member of Concordia Lutheran Church and a talented musician, songwriter, and vocalist. Mickey was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Huber V. Schierling, and a sister and a brother. She is survived by her sons, George (Lynn) of Kettering and Scott (Maribeth) of Bellbrook, and her daughter Dr. Janelle Schierling of Cincinnati; 6 grandchildren, Robin (Neil Cordonnier), Ross, Daniel, Cassandra and Susan Schierling, and Mason Wilkes; 3 great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Nicole and Rachael Cordonnier; 2 sisters, Bernice Aronson and Charlotte Alexander, and several nieces and nephews. Mickey was loved by many and will be missed be all. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 12, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Pastor Tony Sobocinski officiating. Private burial at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends Thursday from 5-8:00 PM at the funeral Home.
