BROCKMAN, Eugene A. “Gene”, age 89 of Kettering passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton. He was a member of St. Albert the Great Church and a graduate of Chaminade High School class of 1935. Gene was a Prisoner of War for two and one-half years during WWII while serving for the United States Army. Gene was co-owner of Viking Tool and Die and Pla-Mor Bowling Lanes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ida Brockman and son, Joseph Brockman. Gene is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Virginia “Ginger” (Heyne) Brockman; children, Lori Greenlee, and Kathleen (Ken) Stechschulte; brother, Andy Brockman; sister, Elfreda Wuebben; brother-in-law, Tom Stewart; sister-in-law, Marilyn Brockman; (6) grandchildren, Theresa, Tim, Lexie & Jack Greenlee and Brock & Luke Stechschulte and beloved and supportive family friend Harold (Peck) Albers. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, May 21, 2007 at 12:00 noon at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 3033 Far Hills Ave., Kettering with Father James Manning officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Gene’s family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00-6:00PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering.
