TULLIS, Eugene Earl "Gene", age 77, of Kettering passed away suddenly at home on Friday, April 26, 2013.
He was born in Dayton, OH on December 9, 1935 to the late Earl and Glenna Tullis. Gene was a postal carrier most of his life. He graduated from Centerville High School and attended Miami University and Central State College in Indiana.
Gene loved sports and worked for many hours at the Kettering Schools selling tickets for the basketball and football games. He was called "The Candy Man" by the many volunteers at the Fraze Pavilion and the Kettering Police Department.
Gene will be missed by many. He is survived by his sister, Verna (Don) Rees; nephews, Jack (Nora) Rees of Centerville and Dan (Amy) Rees of Los Alamos, NM.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at David's Cemetery, 4600 Mad River Road, Kettering.
