age 78, of Kettering, previously a Dayton resident for 15 years, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2001. He was a graduate of Kiser High School. Eugene served on the USS Curtiss AV-4 in the Navy during World War II. He had retired from N.C.R. after 34 years of service. Eugene was a member of Emmanuel Catholic Church and volunteered for many years for Meals on Wheels. Preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Barbara Glos; 6 sisters, Agnes Podrybay, Mary Jasinski, Julia Danielewicz, Clara Fienhout and Cecelia McCann; and 2 brothers, Albert Glos and Harry Glass. Survived by 3 sons, Robert Glass, and his wife, Jennifer, and their daughter, Cynthia Grandfield; Gary Glass and his wife, Mary Pat McGurk, and their 3 children Jason Glass, Heather Henry and Angela Glass; and Richard Glass; 2 great grandsons, Jason Glass, Jr. and Robert Lee Henry; 1 sister, Valeria Gorman; 1 brother, Marion Glass; 2 nieces, Kathy McKay and Carol Pollock; 1 nephew, Roger Glass; several other nieces and nephews; Luella J. Glass (Linsenbigler) mother of their 3 sons; and special longtime friend, Patricia Woods. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, in Emmanuel Catholic Church, 149 Franklin St., Dayton. The family will greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, in Routsong Funeral Home, 6 Oakwood Ave., Oakwood. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, Inc., PO Box 3509, Dayton OH 45401-3509.
