age 93, of Centerville, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at Hospice of Dayton. Eugene was a graduate of Deerfield Academy and received his degree in engineering from Cornell University. He retired from Pratt & Whitney Machine Tools. Eugene was a member of the Engineer’s Club, and a past board member of the Dayton Opera Association. He volunteered for many years for the Red Cross and was an avid supporter of the arts. Preceded in death by his sister, Julie Spencer. Survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Georgette; daughter, Linda (Samuel) Kramer of Springboro; 3 step sons, Jack (Barbara) Heyde of Dallas, TX, Richard (Barbara) Hipple of Fairfax, VA and Gary (Laurie) Hipple of St. Paul, MN; 8 step grandchildren; 4 great step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 30, 2003 at 3:00 PM at Fairmont Presbyterian Church, 3705 Far Hills Ave., Dayton with Dr. Robert H. Wade officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made thru the Dayton Foundation, 2100 Kettering Tower, Dayton, OH 45423 to the Eugene and Georgette Belden Fund for the Dayton Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Dayton Opera Association or to the charity of choice.
