Evan Rey Henry-Singleton

HENRY-SINGLETON, Evan Rey, age 22, of Washington Township passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018. Evan was born on February 3, 1996 in Lompoc, CA. He was a loving son, brother and grandson, a brilliant athlete, a young man of verbal skill and wit, a self-taught musician and a loyal friend. He loved to travel including study abroad in Guatemala. He graduated from Centerville High School where he played Varsity lacrosse. He also played travel lacrosse throughout his school years as well as lacrosse, soccer, and basketball at Miami Valley School. Evan enjoyed walking his beloved dog, Ralph, in Grant Nature Park. He was preceded in death by grandmother, Frances Adelaide Singleton, and grandfather, Ted Singleton. Evan is survived by his parents; mother, Jeneen Furaha Henry-Jones; step-father, Gary Scott Jones; father, Myron Theodore Singleton; sister, Aurora Henry-Jones; grandparents, Larry & Secilia Henry; uncle, Larry Henry, Jr.; step-grandparents, Gary (Marilyn) Jones, E. Linda McNeal; and a host of other family members. Funeral Service will take place at 2pm on Saturday, July 21 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering. Family will greet friends 2 hours prior at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Evans name to Transformational Journeys, 480 NE Martin Blvd Kansas City, MO 64118.
