HYSO, Evelyn Louise, age 89, of Riverside, OH, passed away on March 21, 2015. Evelyn was born to the late Leonard and Blanche (nee Hendrickson) on March 25, 1925 in Roane County, TN.
She graduated from Oliver High School and worked for the Mad River Township School system for 30 years. Evelyn worked on the Manhattan Project in Oakridge during WWII. She attended Brantwood Baptist Church and the Riverside Ohio Seniors Citizens organization. She enjoyed a variety of crafts including sewing and ceramics.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Hyso; brothers, John May and Arvin May; son-in-law, Ken Echols and sister, Wilma Littleton. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Echols; sister, Betty (Jack) Parrott; brother, K. Allen May; step-grandchild, Jessica Boggs and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 8200 W. National Road, New Carlisle, OH.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Hospice of Dayton for all the wonderful care they gave to Evelyn.
