Evelyn Rose Bernat

(Nault), age 78, of Centerville, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2001. She was born in Worcester MA where she lived for 32 years before moving to Kettering. Evelyn was employed by Lazarus Dept. Store for 25 years. She was a member of Ascension Church since 1958, Rike's 20 year Club, Charles Lathrem Senior Center, a counselor for Medicare Senior Network, and an escort service volunteer at the V.A. Hospital. Preceded in death by her husband, Barney Bernat in 1995. Survived by 2 daughters, Janet Bernault of Jamaica Plain MA and Dr. Eileen Bernat and son-in-law, Dr. Robert Arnone of Mukilteo WA; son, Richard Bernat of Kettering; granddaughter, Maria Miller; grandson, Alexander Arnone; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2001, in St. Leonard's Chapel, 8100 Clyo Rd., Centerville, with Father James VanVurst officiating. Interment at V.A. National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions made to Hospice of Dayton PO Box 3509, Dayton OH 45401-3509. Arrangements are being made by Routsong Funeral Home.
