Fern Eileen Wheeler

WHEELER, Fern Eileen, age 86 of Kettering, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Fern was born on July 1, 1926 in Springfield, Ohio to Adam Ray and Ida (nee Dawson) Burris. She attended Trotwood High School and Hillsboro High School. On June 25, 1949 she married the love of her life, Jack T. Wheeler, whom she supported with understanding and patience throughout his career. Fern was a wonderful wife and a very loving and devoted sister and aunt. She was an amazing seamstress and enjoyed gardening. Preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Ruth Hollaway and Faye Burris. Fern is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jack; her twin sister, Faun Miracle; niece Rita (Roger) Guinn and nephews David Miracle and Steve Hollaway. Family will greet friends on Wednesday, September 5, from 11:30am-1:00pm at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering, OH. Funeral service will begin at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Gifts in her memory may be made to your Charity of choice.
