Florence H. Martin

MARTIN, Florence H., age 83 of Kettering passed away, Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at Hospice of Dayton. Florence graduated from Steele High School in 1937, then attended Southern Seminary in Buena Vista, VA. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and the (Circle Z) Alpha group. Florence worked at Maharg's Ice Cream and Catering, as well as Rike's and Wright Patterson Air Force Base for a short while and was past president of the Dayton Women's Club. She enjoyed working with the Scouts, traveling, outdoor sports, and needle work. Along with having many close friends, she treasured and was devoted to her family. Preceded in death by her husband, Alfred E. Lageman in 1964; parents, Frank Maharg and Emma Schantz Maharg; brothers, Frank Maharg, Jr. and George Maharg. Survived by husband, Ernest Martin; children, Fred (Sandee) Lageman and Alison (Jerry) Lang; grandchildren, Lara (John) DeRoule of VA, Brian (Amanda) Lang of MI, Jonathon Lageman and David Lageman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 1, 2003 at the Routsong Funeral Home, 6 Oakwood Ave., Oakwood with Rev. Kay Davis-Dudding officiating. Burial in Woodland Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5-7:00 PM, Friday at the funeral home.
