Florence M. Baines

age 83, of Kettering, OH, passed away January 4, 2002, after a brief illness. Florence was a devoted Army wife, Scout leader (cub/boy/brownie/girl), nursery school teacher, emergency room volunteer and salesperson for Rike's for 23 years. She was a member of Central Christian Church, Kettering, and Bara Court #15 of the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, where she served with the banquet group, greeters and sewing units. Preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Burton and Laura Bunnell; sister, Evelyn, and brother-in-law, John Dudick. Survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Jesse F. Baines; son, Teb (Ann) Baines; daughters, Carole (Chuck) Wiltsee and Linda (Wendell) Fellure; dearly loved grandchildren, John Corcoran, Allison (Karim) Botros, John Baines (Erika Lunkenheimer) and Maureen Corcoran; brother, Eugene (Forecia) Burton and their children, Jack, Kenny and Gail; dear cousin, Eve Sumner and her daughter, Marianne (Steve) Mayne and their children, Steve, Amber and Mike; and Henni Fisher, who has been like a daughter for 40 years. She loved her family, many friends, her church and her flowers. She was a gracious and generous person who enriched the lives of all who knew her. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, with The Rev. David Turner of Central Christian Church officiating. Friends may call between 10:30 AM and 12:00 noon before the services. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery after the funeral for family members only. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners' Hospitals for Children, 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229.
