age 87 of Englewood, formerly of Kettering, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000. Floyd was the owner of Springfield Transit, retiring in 1973. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of our Savior for 30 years, John Cessna Lodge F&AM, York Rite, Scottish Rite; and Antioch Shrine. Preceded in death by his wife, Opal in 1995. Survived by 2 sons, Gene and his wife Barbara of Englewood and Gale and his wife, Angela of Summit, NJ; 7 grandchildren, Michael Metzger, Cheryl Brenner, Matthew Metzger, Cassandra Metzger, Beatrice Fagan, Eleanor Armstrong and Olivia Penizotto; 8 great grandchildren; 2 step great granddaughters; 2 step great great granddaughters; and a brother, Arthur of Brookville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday with visitation one hour prior to service at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 155 E. Thruston, Dayton with Rev. Gary Eichhorn officiating. Burial in Bear Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8:00 P.M., Wednesday in the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with George Marshall Lodge services at 7:30 P.M with Scottish Rite services to follow. Many thanks to his friends and the staff at Sunrise of Englewood.
