Frances B. Dowd

DOWD, Frances B., (Duff) age 96 of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully Thursday March 19, 2009 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 30, 1912 in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of Bertha C. Duff Koch and Alexander Duff. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Jeri Lynn Marie and Dr. Daniel Braunlin of Kettering; two granddaughters: Susan Marie (Erik) Geiger and Kathryn Elizabeth Braunlin; sisters: Ruth Lange and Regina Kasmin of FL; sisters-in-law: Martha Dowd of Worthington, OH and Jean Dowd of Mentor, OH, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jerry John Dowd in 1996, her mother and father, four sisters: Edith Bockelman, Marie Wadsworth, Betty May Gay, Carrie Louise Dowd and brother, Charles Henry Koch. She retired from Weatherhead Company, Cleveland, OH as the Office Manager of the Credit Union. Family will receive friends Sunday, March 22, 2009, from 2:00 4:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 23rd at 12:00 noon at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 3033 Far Hills Ave, Rev. James Manning, celebrant. Interment in David's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave Dayton, OH 45420. A special thanks to all the wonderful Hospice nurses who shared their wisdom, faith and compassion in caring for our loved one.
