Francesca Rosaria Dastoli

DASTOLI, Francesca Rosaria, age 90, of Kettering, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018. She was born in Filadelfia, Italy on October 2, 1927 to Francesco and Angela Pujia. Francesca and her family moved to America in 1965. As a young girl, Francesca began working as a seamstress in Italy, a career she continued working alongside her husband Giovanni for many years after moving to Dayton. Francesca and Giovanni were members of Bella Villas John Pirelli Lodge and for many years attended the Church of the Ascension in Kettering. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, but most of all, she cherished her family and loved spending time with them. Francesca will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Giovanni; and daughter, Barbara Gruenzel. Francesca is survived by her daughters, Angela (Ron) Weidel and Vickie (Keith) Shomper; son-in-law, Cary Gruenzel; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Angela Pietrantonio; brothers, Anthony (Margaret) Pujia and John Pujia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. The family will greet friends from 2:00-4:00pm on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Rd., Kettering. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, May 7, 2018 also at the funeral home with an hour visitation before the service. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
