Frank Barton Stilwell, Jr.

STILWELL, Frank Barton Jr., of Kettering, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2011 in New Port Richey, FL. Frank was a graduate of Fairmont High School. He attended Miami University and The Ohio State University, and graduated from the University of Dayton. Frank proudly served his country in WWII and The Korean Conflict for the United States Army. He retired as a Colonel at WPAFB after 25 plus years of service. Frank was a member of First United Methodist Church, the American Legion, Dorothy Lane Optimist, St. Petersburg Elks and Vandalia Lodge #742 F&AM and Antioch Shrine. Preceded in death by his parents, Frank Sr. and Inez Stilwell; daughter, Patricia Bechler; son, Frank Barton Stilwell, III; and sister, Virginia Fox. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Doris; grandsons, William (Shannon), Christopher and Nicholas Bechler; and three great-grandchildren. Family will greet friends on Monday, March 7, 2011 from 5:00-7:00PM with Masonic services at 7pm at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
