Frank Edward Greene

GREENE, Frank Edward, age 83, passed away on September 2, 2003 at Greenewood Manor Xenia, OH. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys; mother, Bessie (Brightwell); father, Frank Greene; brother, Paul Greene; and daughter-in-law, Susan Greene. Frank (Ed) was born in Dayton, OH on January 3, 1920 and attended schools in Dayton, graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1938. On February 6, 1943 Frank was happily married to Gladys Preston in Dayton, OH. He served in the United States Army during World War II attaining the rank of Sergeant while serving in Europe. Frank was awarded the American Theatre Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Victory European African Middle Eastern Medal with three Bronze stars. He retired from GM Delphi after 31 years of service during which time he received numerous awards for achievements in management. Survived by his loving son, Dr. Ronald J. Greene; grandson, Ryan Greene; and several nieces and a nephew. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 6, 2003 at 1:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Calling hours will be from 11-1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial at Bellbrook Cemetery.
